Cultivar Profile
Picholine Du Gard Olive Tree
Olea europaea ‘Picholine Du Gard’
This cultivar thrives on Mediterranean growing conditions and has a particularly fruity taste.
Originating from Collias and Gard in the South of France, it’s got a fruity taste with slightly peppery notes. This is a high production tree, with a remarkable flavor. It’s matched only by the bright side of its green drupe. But this olive must blacken two months after harvest before going to the mill press.
